Tecno Camon C8 is a recent Tecno device that runs on Android 5.o Lollipop from the box and powered by a 1.3GHz Quad-core CPU, Mali-T720 GPU, MediaTek 6735 chipset and coupled with a 1GB RAM component alongside with 16GB internal storage memory.
In this guide, I would walk you through the process on how to install TWRP Recovery on Tecno Camon C8 device.
Requirements:
Step 2: After that, download Tecno USB drivers, and install on your PC.
Step 3: Now, power off your device, and remove the battery.
Step 4: Next, download the SP Flash tool, and extract the files to your computer. You should get the following files as seen below, after extraction.
Step 5: From the extracted files, open Flash_tool.exe
Step 6: Once the flash tool is launched, then click on the download/upgrade tab and click on scatter loading button
Step 7: Now, locate the “MT6735_Android_Scatter.txt” file, which is on your desktop.
Step 8: After that, click download to begin flashing process.
Step 9: Immediately, connect your device (without battery) to your computer via USB cable, and press Volume Down or up key, so it would be detected easily by your computer.
Step 10: The Flashing process would be in progress, and a Green button would appear once the process is completed.
Now that TWRP Recovery is installed on your device, next is rooting your device. Simply couple your device back and power it on.
2. Now, boot your Tecno Camon device to recovery mode. Simply press and hold Volume Down and Power buttons.
3. After that, from recovery menu, click on install and locate the SuperSU zipped file you transferred to the internal memory of your device, and then install it.
4. Once you’ve successfully flashed both files, then go back to recovery menu and reboot your device.
