The Volume up key is normally used to turn on/off torch light on Samsung’s flagship, but this features was removed in Samsung galaxy S6 and s6 edge smartphones. However, you can enable the feature if you wish to.
All thanks to Xperiacle, a XDA developer contributor. He introduced an app codenamed “Torchlight Enabler” which you can use to bring back this features on your galaxy s6 and s6 edge device.
In this guide, I would brief you on how to use volume up key to turn on/off torch on galaxy s6 and s6 edge, using the “Torchlight Enabler” app.
- To install, first enable unknown source app from your device, simply go to settings >> security>> unknown source. Then enable from there.
That’s it. You can now enable the features by activating the torch light on/off from the application. Hope this helps.
