How to Un-root Any Android Device (Easy Guide)


There are great benefits whenever your android device is kept rooted, but always keep in mind that anything that has merit also has one or two side effect.

Most android users do complain that their rooted device doesn’t receive OTA firmware update, or whenever they try to install official version of OTA, it doesn’t work. This is because their device is rooted.


Un-rooting your device keeps your device to default, that is, you would be able to receive firmware and other updates on your android device.

Previously, I brief you guys on how to bypass locked android, today’s stroll, I would guide you on how to un-root any android device.


How to Un-root Any Android Device


Method 1- Using OTA Rootkeeper
-          Firstly, download the OTA Rootkeeper application from here.

-          To install, first enable unknown source app from your device, simply go to settings >> security>> unknown source. Then enable from there.
Once you’ve enabled or tick the unknown source box, then you would be able to install applications that isn’t downloaded from Google play store.

-          After that, install the application and launch.


-          Then follow the onscreen instruction via the app. If you want the un-root to be temporal, then hit the button marked “Temp. un-root (keeps backup)”, for permanent root, click the “delete su backup” button. You can easily restore the Temp. root by clicking on “Restore root”.

Method 2- Using Un-root Script
-          First, download the Unroot script from here, to your computer.

-          After that, extract the downloaded file to your desktop screen on your computer

-          Now, go to the folder that you have extracted and execute the RUNME-UNROOT.bat.


-          Follow the on-screen guide to un-root the device.

That’s it, your android device would be un-rooted successfully using any of the above procedures.
