How to upgrade N3 and P3 custom rom to Android 4.0


These are the below requirement needed for custom rom upgrade for N3 and P3 to Android 4.0:-

1. It is always adviceable you back up your present ROM before flashing it with a custom ROM


2. Before we begin, you need a CWM recovery for your N3/P3 download it and do as well read more about it here

How To Install Custom Rom For N3 & P3


1.Downlaod Eblak_N7(ROM) here and su-bin-3.1.1-arm-signed(FOR ROOTING) here

2.place it on your sdcard root


3.Boot to recovery>>wipe data factory resetand wipe cache partition


4.Goto Advance "wipe dalvik cache”


5.Select +++go back+++àThen, select‘install zip from sd card’. Choose zip from sd card


6.Select Eblak_N7.zip then Navigate to "YES". As soon as you see "installation complete", select choose zip from sd card


7.And choose su-bin-3.1.1-arm-signed.zip. When you are through, select “+++go back+++” and choose “power off”. You can then restart your device.

For P3 Users alone (Patch Installing)


==>Download P3_Patch here

==>Save the downloaded file on your sd card

==>Go to clockworkmod and install the zip. Their is no need to wipe anything, just install the zip from clockworkmod.
That's it guys.

You should now have a branded ics custom rom running 4.0 installed on your device.

Once you have successfully upgraded your rom to android 4.0, here are the likely features for it to have:-

==>Transparent notification menu

==>Good lock screen

==>ICS camera

==>Full Odex ROM

==>RAM Manager,Less Lags,better Multitasking

Well since it is tested for P3 and N3, there is every possibility that D3 is involved

pls help me tried to unlock d bootloader for my htc desire hd .....installed adb and ave installed d driver amd also included d patch bt yl tryin2run window comand,writin adb devices it wrote.:........adb is nt recognized as an internal or external command,operable program or batch filr..:......pls help am usin window 8 64bit pc(thanks nd. urgent)

First of all register yourself on the HTC Registration Website.


Then go to the HTC – Unlock Bootloader and select “All Other Supported Models” at the end of the list in “Select Your Device” and the click “Begin Unlock Bootloader“.

After this you will have to accept the terms and agreement of HTC that it is not responsible if anything happens to your phone.
Now you will get the steps of Unlocking the Bootloader or perform these in the same way

AND THEN CLICK PROCEED TO THE NEXT STEP.
# Download the unlock_tools.zip file from here and extract it to a new folder in C:/Android/ (or select any short place like Desktop.)
# Now open the folder where you have extracted the contents of unlock_tools.zip (in this case C:/Android/) and press and hold SHIFT on your keyboard and then RIGHT-CLICK on mouse and then select “Open Command Window Here“.

In the command window type the following code:-



fastboot oem get_identifier_token


You will get a long message in which there will be some lines like this:-

Their would be some combination of numbers and alphabets instead of the dots so just copy this code.
When copying the token, start with this line:


<<<< Identifier Token Start >>>>
And end with this line:


<<<<< Identifier Token End >>>>>
Now paste the copied code in the Device Token Code as in the picture below:-

You will receive an email (the one with which you registered on HTC Website) in which there will be an attachment Unlock_code.bin. Save this file in the same folder in which there is adb,fastboot etc. (in this case C:/Android/ THE ONE THAT YOU EXTRACTED) and then type the following code in the command window:


fastboot flash unlock token Unlock_code.bin

After a while your phone will reboot saying your bootloader is Unlocked.

At the end of the day you still cant install bbm on it. So u are still on ginger bread
